Kerry Frazier MS, LPC Associate, COTA
Walking alongside you through life's chapters.
I don't believe therapy should look the same for everyone, because no two people are exactly alike. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role isn't to tell you how to live it, but to help you explore your experiences, recognize your strengths, gain new perspectives, and discover what meaningful change looks like for you.
I strive to create a comfortable, welcoming space where you can show up exactly as you are. You don't have to have everything figured out, know exactly what to say, or even know where to begin. We'll figure that part out together.
My counseling style is integrative, drawing from several therapeutic approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I tailor our work to your individual needs, preferences, and goals rather than expecting you to fit into a particular approach.
I also enjoy bringing creativity into the counseling process. Depending on the individual and what feels comfortable, sessions may include games, creative arts, journaling, mindfulness, and other activities that encourage self-expression and personal discovery. Sometimes talking is exactly what we need, and sometimes finding another way to express ourselves can open the door to something meaningful.
Above all, I believe the relationship between a counselor and client is one of the most important parts of therapy. I value authenticity, openness, and even a little humor when the moment calls for it. Life can be difficult enough without feeling like you have to be someone you're not in the counseling room.

Hi, I'm Kerry!
I believe that everyone has a story worth hearing, and sometimes we just need someone willing to sit with us, listen without judgment, and help us make sense of where we are and where we want to go.
My journey into counseling began long before I earned my master's degree. For 23 years, I worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), helping individuals from early childhood through their later years navigate life's challenges. My experience includes school systems, pediatric outpatient therapy, adult home health, and geriatric long-term care. I also received training in the Music & Memory program, which uses personalized music to support connection and quality of life.
Throughout my occupational therapy career, I had the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds and stages of life. Those experiences taught me that while everyone's circumstances are different, we all share a need to feel heard, understood, and supported. They also deepened my appreciation for the connection between our physical health, emotional well-being, relationships, and everyday lives. It was this understanding, along with my love of connecting with people, that eventually led me to pursue a career in mental health counseling.
I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Texas A&M University in August 2026. During my clinical internships at a private counseling practice, I worked with children, adults, and couples navigating a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship and family difficulties, adult ADHD, and challenges children experience at home and school.
As an adoptee myself, I have a special place in my heart for others navigating the unique experiences that can come with adoption. Questions surrounding identity, belonging, attachment, relationships, and grief or loss can sometimes be difficult to put into words, especially when those feelings are complicated or not fully understood by others. I recognize that every adoption story is different, and I believe adoptees deserve a space where they can explore their experiences openly, without judgment or expectations about how they should feel.
I am also passionate about supporting adoptive parents and families as they navigate the joys, challenges, and complexities of adoption. Whether it's understanding attachment, having age-appropriate conversations about adoption, supporting a child's developing identity, or strengthening family relationships, I believe adoptive families benefit from having a space where questions and concerns can be explored with compassion and understanding. Supporting both adoptees and adoptive families as they navigate their individual journeys is an area of counseling that is especially meaningful to me.
A Little More About Me
Outside of counseling, one of my greatest joys is my family. I have two grown children, four grandchildren, and another grandbaby on the way! Being a mother and grandmother has given me a deep appreciation for the many seasons of life and the ways we continue learning, changing, and growing along the way.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, gardening, crafting, and spending time with the people I love. I'm naturally curious, enjoy learning new things, and appreciate the simple moments that make life meaningful.
Whether you're facing a difficult season, working through experiences from your past, navigating relationships, exploring your adoption story, or simply wanting to understand yourself a little better, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
You don't have to have all the answers to begin. Sometimes the first step is simply having a place where you can be heard.
