Hi, I’m Christiane LaBarre, and I’m glad you’re here. If you’re looking for a space where you can show up exactly as you are without judgment, you’ve found it. I believe that therapy works best when it’s built on genuine respect, collaboration, and a personalized approach tailored entirely to you.
My path to becoming a therapist wasn't a straight line, and I bring a wealth of real-world perspective to our sessions. I’m a proud U.S. Army veteran, spent eleven years building and running a business, and lived overseas for four years working as an international teacher. These diverse chapters taught me a universal truth: no matter your background, culture, or lifestyle, everyone deserves a safe place to heal, grow, and be truly heard.
Outside of the office, I’ve been happily married for 28 years, and we have a fabulous 9-year-old daughter. I stay busy homeschooling her, exploring the world through international travel, swimming, diving into my studies, and relaxing with an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Areas of Focus
-
Trauma can keep your nervous system trapped in survival mode, making the world feel like an ongoing threat. Therapy creates a grounded space where painful memories gradually lose their charge and hypervigilance softens. The positive outcome is regaining a profound sense of safety, restoring emotional peace, and feeling fully present in your daily life and relationships.
-
Constantly fighting against executive dysfunction, intrusive thoughts, or rigid compulsion cycles can leave you feeling drained and frustrated. Therapy shifts the paradigm from self-criticism to self-understanding. You gain personalized systems and cognitive tools that build mental clarity, reduce daily overwhelm, and allow you to leverage your brain's unique strengths with confidence.
-
Enduring long-term distress or unstable environments often leaves behind deep-seated beliefs of unsafe isolation or unworthiness. Through therapy, those long-standing survival patterns begin to unspool and heal. The benefit is establishing strong internal boundaries, restoring your self-worth, and building genuine trust in yourself and your connections with others.
-
Unresolved early life experiences can quietly shape adult struggles with anxiety, insecurity, and relationship patterns. Therapy helps break those long-standing generational cycles by providing the care, validation, and stability that were missing back then. The ultimate positive shift is feeling free from old stories, so you can live authentically as who you are today.
-
The transition into parenthood is a profound shift that often brings unexpected guilt, isolation, or overwhelming anxiety alongside joy. Therapy provides a compassionate, pressure-free sanctuary to process these heavy feelings without judgment. You emerge with stronger emotional balance, reduced isolation, and the grounded presence needed to care for both yourself and your family.
-
Chronic stress, persistent worry, and burnout make even small daily tasks feel like an uphill battle. Therapy interrupts the cycle of exhaustion and low mood by helping you rebuild your emotional momentum. The positive result is a restored sense of energy, clear mental boundaries, and a renewed capacity for joy and hope.
-
Feeling hijacked by sudden emotional spikes—or completely numb and detached—can disrupt your relationships and peace of mind. Therapy equips you with a versatile toolkit to navigate intense emotions smoothly. The reward is feeling centered during stress, recognizing triggers early, and making calm, intentional choices rather than reacting on impulse.
-
Communication breakdowns, people-pleasing, or fear of conflict can create distance in even the closest relationships. Therapy helps you find your authentic voice and express your needs with clarity and grace. The outcome is deeper mutual understanding, healthier boundaries, and stronger, more fulfilling connections.
-
Anger often acts as a protective shield covering deeper feelings of hurt, stress, or vulnerability. Therapy helps you understand what your anger is trying to protect and how to process it safely. The positive shift is transforming intense frustration into constructive action, improving self-control, and protecting your most valuable relationships.
