Hi, I’m Christiane LaBarre, and I’m glad you’re here. If you’re looking for a space where you can show up exactly as you are without judgment, you’ve found it. I believe that therapy works best when it’s built on genuine respect, collaboration, and a personalized approach tailored entirely to you.

My path to becoming a therapist wasn't a straight line, and I bring a wealth of real-world perspective to our sessions. I’m a proud U.S. Army veteran, spent eleven years building and running a business, and lived overseas for four years working as an international teacher. These diverse chapters taught me a universal truth: no matter your background, culture, or lifestyle, everyone deserves a safe place to heal, grow, and be truly heard.

Outside of the office, I’ve been happily married for 28 years, and we have a fabulous 9-year-old daughter. I stay busy homeschooling her, exploring the world through international travel, swimming, diving into my studies, and relaxing with an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Real Life Experience. Real, Compassionate Care.

Areas of Focus

  • Trauma from high-stress environments or military service doesn't just disappear when the chapter closes. It can show up as unwanted memories, hypervigilance, feeling constantly on edge, or emotionally shutting down. Together, we will work to help your nervous system feel safe again. We’ll untangle the heavy weight of these past experiences at your own pace, helping you regain control and move forward with peace.

  • The experiences we have growing up lay the groundwork for how we see ourselves and the world. When those early years include instability, neglect, or painful events, it can leave lasting prints that affect our adult relationships, self-esteem, and emotional health. In this space, we safely explore those root patterns, break free from old survival mechanisms, and rewrite a narrative based on who you are today—not what happened to you then.

  • Anxiety often feels like a mind that won't stop racing with "what-ifs," while depression can feel like a heavy fog that drains your energy, motivation, and joy. Both can make you feel incredibly isolated. Using practical, collaborative tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we will work to identify the thought patterns keeping you stuck, break the cycle of constant worry or heaviness, and build daily habits that restore calm and purpose.

  • You don’t need to be in a major crisis to deserve support. Everyday life—navigating career shifts, family dynamics, balancing massive responsibilities, or simply handling the chaotic pace of daily routines—can completely drain your battery. We’ll look at what is currently overwhelming you, establish healthy boundaries, and collaborate on real, sustainable strategies so you can handle life’s daily curveballs with confidence and clarity.

Therapeutic Approach

No two individuals are the same, which is why my services are highly individualized.

Utilizing a combination of Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I collaborate with you to explore what is working, challenge what feels stuck, and help you move forward with confidence.
